Our young people are highly valued members of our church community and we strive to involve and empower them in every area of church life!

Young People in Summerleas life

We love our young people to be involved in the life of the church at Summerleas in an inter-generational way, actively involved and serving on Sundays, valued members of our small groups, and lots more besides.

We run a few different programs within Summerleas life, specifically for young people. In addition, we partner with some local/statewide ministries to help keep us connected to the broader Christian world: the Tasmanian Youth Convention, our National Convention (CRCA), the CMS World Mission Youth Night, and more.

Sl'outh

For youth in grades 3-6

Another way we disciple our youth is through Sl'outh. This provides an opportunity for  the Summerleas youth in grade 3 -6 to spend time together as a peer group, whilst at the same time providing the opportunity for them to build relationships and study the Bible with leaders. Sl'outh takes place once a fortnight during school terms. Any questions? email slouthleaders@summerleaschurch.org

SYC - the Summerleas Youth Community

For youth in grades 7-12 SYC provides an oppurtunity for youth to come together for some fun and Bible study. SYC happens once a fortnight during school terms on Thursday evenings. For more information email bernard@summerleachurch.org

Young Adults

For young adults we run a group that meets throughout the year for a meal and to get into God's word It's often on a Sunday, but activities vary, so it's best to get in touch with Molly or Jack for details. Email memhartog@gmail.com
